Rumi: Say I Am You (Sufi poem)

We ARE…all of it. Not a single dust particle left out. Stay, you. Stay, you. Stay, you. Stay sunlight, morning mist, breath of evening. Stay, thought of enlightenment. Stay, thought of not caring about enlightenment. Stay, feeling of love. Stay, feeling of suffering. Our hearts are big enough to hold Everything, coral reef, tree, a trained parrot, silence, thought, Everything. Thank you for posting all of this musical air coming from a flute! My heart gladdens in the All like a moth crazy 'round it.

Exactly! And to pleasure in the individuality of things when that's what we're seeing, and to take equal joy in the next (or prior or same) moment when all melts like a great cosmic bearhug into one.
Thanks, Kathy!
thank you Ruth..I so love this.. Rumi touches my soul.
Thank you, Jeanne! I feel that way about Rumi too. I love his ability to give voice to what I'm feeling (even at times when I'm not entirely sure what that is).
Of all the Rumi videos on YouTube, this is my favourite. The poem itself is enough to take my breath away, but coupled with that music, it's just awesome.
Thanks for commenting.
