What gift will you give the world today?

That means I will be fully present in our togetherness, that I will not be wishing I was somewhere else or with someone else, and it means I won't pretend to be someone other than who or what I am.

It means I will not lie or cheat or steal for you, or in any way act against my better judgment in our dealings together. It also means that I will not pretend to feel something I don't just because you expect it of me or because I think it might make you feel better.

It means I won't do something you ask me to for the sole purpose of pleasing you. I will love to please you, but I won't make pleasing you a more important priority than remaining true to my inner nature.

It means that I won't stop myself from giving voice to some truth that aches to be spoken, but it doesn't mean that I will necessarily do so. I may not say it if I feel you will be hurt by it, but I will not let worrying about how you will react stop me from saying it.

It means I won't tell you what you want to hear unless I can say it with my whole heart. If I give you what you want but doesn't sit right with me, I'm not being myself.
